KARACHI – May 2025
The Sindh Education Department has officially announced the schedule for summer vacations for the academic year 2024–2025. According to the latest notification issued by the department, all public and private schools and colleges across Sindh will remain closed for summer holidays from June 1 to July 31.
The announcement
The announcement comes as temperatures continue to rise across the province, with many areas already experiencing extreme heat. The decision aims to ensure the safety and well-being of students, teachers, and school staff during the hottest months of the year.
Educational institutions have been directed to complete their syllabi and exams before the start of the vacation period. Administrators have also been advised to ensure the dissemination of this notice to parents and students well in advance.
A spokesperson for the Education Department
A spokesperson for the Education Department emphasized the importance of utilizing the summer break for rest, family time, and personal development. “We encourage students to engage in light academic activities, reading, or skill-building programs during the break, but their health and comfort should remain the top priority,” the spokesperson added.
The schools and colleges will reopen on August 1, resuming regular academic activities as per the education department’s calendar.
This unified summer vacation schedule applies to all educational institutions affiliated with the Sindh Board, ensuring consistency across the province.
For updates and notifications, parents and students are advised to stay in touch with their respective institutions and follow official channels.
