The Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK) has officially announced the results for the first annual examinations 2025 for Grade 9 students of both Science and General Groups (Regular and private). Chairman of the Board, Ghulam Hussain Sohu, shared the details and congratulated all successful students on their outstanding achievements.
He emphasized that maintaining transparency and fairness in the examination process remains theboard’s top priority. The results are now available on the board’s official website: www.bsek.edu.pk.The announcement ceremony was attended by the Controller of Examinations, Dr. Hamzo Khan Tagar, along with members of the Result Committee.Science Group Results A total of 177,660 students were registered in the Science Group, out of which 175,511 candidates appeared in the exams. Around 2,149 students remained absent.Out of those who appeared, 137,350 students passed all subjects, achieving an overall success ratio of 78.26%.
The detailed breakdown of the results is as follows:
Passed in all six papers: 18,185 students- Passed in five papers: 7,690 students- Passed in four papers: 4,398 students- Passed in three papers: 2,462 students- Passed in two papers: 1,338 students- Passed in one paper: 1,375 students
General Group (Regular and Private) Results
In the General Group, a total of 15,954 candidates were registered, out of which 14,984 student appeared in the examination. 970 students were marked absent.
Conclusion
The Karachi Board’s 2025 results reflect the continued efforts of students and teachers across both Science and General Groups. While the Science Group showed a higher success rate at 78.26%,the General Group achieved a combined average of 54.38%.
