Advancing Education in Artificial Intelligence

Addressing students during the inauguration of a laptop distribution scheme in Faisalabad, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz emphasized the need for a forward-thinking education system. “Our students must not lag and should excel in every field,” she stated, highlighting the importance of bridging the knowledge gap between Pakistan and developed nations.

Supporting Education and Entrepreneurship

To further bolster education and entrepreneurship among youth, the Punjab government introduced a new initiative that offers loans of up to Rs. 30 million. These loans can be utilized for pursuing education, part-time jobs, or starting business ventures. Additionally, the government plans to allocate free land to students aiming to launch businesses, encouraging them to become productive contributors to the economy.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz stressed the importance of equipping students with resources that empower them to succeed academically and economically. The provision of loans and business support reflects the government’s commitment to creating a self-reliant and entrepreneurial youth.

Expansion of the Laptop Distribution Scheme

At the event, the Chief Minister unveiled plans to significantly expand the laptop distribution scheme. Currently providing 30,000 laptops annually, the program is set to increase its capacity to 50,000 units next year. The eligibility criteria will focus on students scoring above 65% in public universities and colleges, aiming to reward academic excellence and motivate students toward higher achievements.

Further, the Chief Minister shared her vision of eventually distributing 100,000 laptops. She also announced new scholarships for students in their third and fourth years of study, ensuring financial support for those excelling academically.
